| Project Evaluation A unique component of the project is that part of the learning process includes peer review. How this works is that the footage that the community camera teams shoot is presented to the participants in the form of a peer panel (supervised by the professional media artists) where the footage is discussed, reviewed and critiqued. What this does is expand the learning experience to include more than just the community camera crew and production team. There will be a number of works in progress presentations for both the community video and the Shoot the Shooters video so as to provide ongoing feedback about the entire project. Near the end of the project there will be a special workshop where parents and children will be invited to bring their own home video and present it to their peers and the professionals for open discussion, critique and suggestions. The long-term goal of the project is to foster individual, family and community involvement in creating, maintaining and preserving a Living History of their lives and their culture. By including the home video element this will extend the reach of the project into more lives. We will invite the community to fill out surveys and questionnaires about the process, the workshops and the productions. At community screenings of both productions we will conduct on site and exit polls to evaluate the approach, the process and the final result of the effectiveness of the films. Each film that is distributed will have a feedback phone number as well as the web address of the portal where they can complete an online critique of the film. | ||||||
