Production Team
The nuMedia group is an award winning technology and communications group with extensive experience in media design and production. www.numediagroup.com The nuMedia group is comprised of a number of specialized companies and independent media/technology, artist/programmers. The nuMedia group is project oriented and assembles specialty teams for each different project.


Team Members:

Joseph MacLean, founder of the nuMedia group, was the co-author and Executive Producer of ‘Slammin’ Sammy Presents: At Bat’ an award winning children’s software title and the accompanying video “Hi, I’m Sammy Sosa.’

Joseph is an Honours History graduate and brings his love of history, storytelling and technology skills to the project. Joseph will extend the reach of the project by developing student practicum partnerships as well as celebrity endorsements to promote it.

Claim to fame: signed Slammin’ Sammy Sosa to a four year celebrity endorsement with no money down simply because he liked the idea. Joseph believes in the power of media and knows how to get press coverage.

The Urban Aboriginal high scool drop out rate is over 50%. Early Childhood Literacy is part of the solution.

Don Howell, founder of Howlco Productions, is a highly skilled digital artist, producer and educator who shares his knowledge through teaching courses in digital media technology at Capilano College. Don is a First Nations media artist whose collaborative work on numerous video and digital projects has been nominated for a number of prestigious awards. His hope is that this unique community project may get him to the podium. Don brings extensive personal and professional experience of the challenges that face the urban aboriginal community. He has worked with organizations like DERA and the Carnegie Centre in community outreach, media relations and program development.
